Great dress coat!! January 15, 2008 This is a great dress coat for the college student at a great price. My picky son is thrilled with this coat. It is extremely warm and looks great on him.

Nice coat, but big guys beware... February 8, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm a big guy. Heck, I'll just admit; I'm a fat guy. However, I am also simply large-framed (broad-shouldered, barrel-chested). I got the largest size possisble to accomodate my stomach and my large chest (largest available is a chest measurement of 60, my chest is 58), and while the coat looks pretty good on me, the shoulders are extremely constricting and I have heard the seam in the back pulling if I move my arms too quickly or too far. If you have unusual proportions like me, I reccomend biting the bullet and getting a tailor-made coat elsewhere. Still, though, the coat is quite warm and looks pretty nice on me, so if you are of relatively normal dimensions, you can add a star to this review when considering a purchase.
Classic and Useful January 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This particular style of peacoat is the standard issue for the Navy, or at least so similar that I can't tell the difference (I had one issued in the 80's while in the Navy). This nice, heavy wool has protected me from Milwaukee, Chicago, and now Asheville NC winters (Asheville is in the mountains of NC and quite chilly, windy, and wet in winter). Very effective. My one complaint is that the buttons are not sewn on very securely. This was fixed in about 20 minutes with needle and thread, so not a big hassle. Also, the pocket fabric is a bit thin and the seams pull apart fairly easily. Again, rather an easy fix and for the comparative price, well worth it.
very good for what you are paying !!!! September 16, 2008 well i bught this coat becuse im going to have a trip to paris soon , and i needed a nice coat that wasnt that expensive. the coat was great !!! its thick and it does not look cheap. Im very satisfyied with the product!!!!!!!!! but i havent used it yet, the only thing is that you should be careful with the sizes but that's no problem you can just get it fixed!!!!
